Graphic Art Schools
Graphic Design Art Schools?
I am currently attending a community college and will be graduating with an associates in advertising commercial art in may 2011. I want to transfer to a new school to get a bachelors degree in graphic design. Any schools you would recommend? (I’d like to stay in New York preferably New York City).
In New York:
-SVA (School of Visual Arts)
-Parsons
-Pratt
These are the elite 3 Art Schools with graphic design up there. My cousin, Mike Perry, is an extremely successful Artist currently living in Brooklyn, and he reccommends all 3 of these. He is also a teacher at Parsons.
I personally looked at all 3 of these schools, loved them all, and applied to Pratt and SVA. SVA was my second choice school, and I got a decent scholarship to attend.
I ended up at MCAD (Minneapolis College of Art and Design) on an even bigger scholarship, and it is the best decision I have ever made. I am also getting a BFA in Graphic Design, and the program here ranks very high amongst other art schools.
